Couple of comments with regards to the The Lost Acetates (The Misunderstood) and Aquashow (Elliott Murphy) saying having problems with them Have just tried them and seem to be down loading ok, so try again. If still having problems let me know and I will upload again.
Eutaw – Old Crow Medicine Show (2001)
http://www.mediafire.com/?ngzw2jzkfnnThe Old Crow Medicine Show is foot stomping, hand clapping, shining music. The energy of this band can only be surpassed by seeing them live. Their independently released CD Eutaw, is effective in capturing the electricity of their live shows.
The Lost Acetetes 1965-1966 – The Misunderstood (2004)
http://www.mediafire.com/?mmquyjjyvnmOne of the great lost bands of the 1960’s. Torn apart by the Vietnam draft the band were denied the chance to breakthrough that they deserved. After the original band broke up, drummer Rick Moe stored away these surviving acetates. This album contains some of the most exciting music the band ever recorded, from raw, pounding garage blues to electrifying psychedelic rock.

Peel Session 54 – Buzzcocks 19.09.77
http://www.mediafire.com/?zrgomw2oiyfRecorded: 7.09.77 Transmitted: 19.09.77
Tracklisting: 1. Fast Cars, 2. Pulse Beat, 3. What Do I Get
Formed in 1976 by Pete Shelley and Howard Devoto after seeing the Pistols and even put a gig on in Manchester with the Pistols headlining and them supporting. Specialising in melodic buzzsaw punk and loud shirts with wing collars the Buzzcocks made a stream of classic singles and some good albums
Two Gallants – Two Gallants (2007)
http://www.mediafire.com/?2zfiwynikizTwo Gallants are, in most every imaginable respect, a band out of time. Their music resists convenient labels, their influences are varied and obscure. Their music, if I were to take a stab at describing it, is a western-based blues, one that leans on folk and blues traditions and somehow, through it's rabid energy and insubordinate refusal to be defined, takes on hints of punk as well.

John Dummer Band – John Dummer Band (1969)
http://www.mediafire.com/?zmnijnzndwiFormed in 1967 the John Dummer Band was one of those bands that were always on the cusp of breaking through but never really did. They played some really competent blues rock, this being their second album
Little Hours – Spokane (2007)
http://www.mediafire.com/?dziy0fzmythThe whole album has a very classical approach, it’s like you’re listening to music from films in the 50’s. The music is captivating, and uses many soft instruments and soothing vocals. A real album, where you can sit back and relax and get a glimpse of what the artist is trying to achieve in their music.

Re- Ups As Requested
Been informed that the last couple of albums that I posted had problems with a couple of tracks. Please find links to those named tracks.
The Second Album - The Spencer Davis Group
Track 2 – Keep On Running
http://www.mediafire.com/?y0ulnz0xiad
Moon Pix - Cat Power
Track 3 - No Sense

The Second Album - The Spencer Davis Group

Moon Pix - Cat Power
Track 3 - No Sense
http://www.mediafire.com/?dn2zwqmmzot
The Second Album – The Spencer Davis Group (1966)
http://www.mediafire.com/?3tyar4govyjRollicking good R & B album from a group so sadly not given the credit they deserve when people talk about the 60's. But they were one of the most convincing of the R & B bands that emerged during that period. They were always a little bit different adding touches of soul and jazz to their sound.
Moon Pix – Cat Power (1998)
http://www.mediafire.com/?t1egdniymngChilling, moving album, Chan Marshall's voice has something to it. A beautiful but rather dark and depressive record and the better for that say I.

Man Of The Ghetto – Winston Jarrett and The Righteous Flames (1977)
http://www.mediafire.com/?aw2igtn2yjjWinston Jarrett was born in 1944 in Lime Tree Gardens in the parish of Saint Ann, Jamaica. He moved to Trenchtown where he met Alton Ellis who recruited him and Eggar Gordon (Baby Gee) and formed Alton & The Flames.
The Flames did a number of early classics like ‘Cry Tough,’ ‘Dance Crasher,’ ‘The Preacher’, and ‘I Have Got A Date.’ The Flames were recording for Duke Reid, but were lured away by Sir Coxsone. Alton moved to England in 1969 and Winston reformed the group as The Righteous Flames. Winston a produced a string of fine releases on his own Attra, Human Rights and Humble labels. In The late 70’s he cut fine albums for Brent Clarke (‘Kingston Rock’), Roy Cousins (‘Wise Man’), and two co-productions with Tony Shabazz (‘Man Of The Ghetto’ and ‘Ranking Ghetto Style’).
Daytrotter Session 1 – Herman Dune 17.06.08
http://www.mediafire.com/?zlnoiyyjzm01. Someone Know Better Than Me, 2. I Wish That I Could See You Soon, 3. Don’t You Worry A Bit, Try To Think Of Me, 4. I’d Rather Walk Than Run

KC Rules OK - King Creosote (2005)
http://www.mediafire.com/?owmc1dojfqjBacked by The Earlies, Kenny Anderson aka King Creosote delivers an album of an absolutley stunning collection of songs. Lyrically wonderful and darkly humourous.
Excellent !!

Party at Steve’s House – The Mummies (1994)
http://www.mediafire.com/?0y0zjdzwnlmA fake live album; 'Party at Steve's House,' was actually recorded at a furniture warehouse in Hayward, CA. There isn't an outright classic on the level of "You Know Your Ass Is Next In Line" or "You Must Fight to Live on the Planet of the Apes", but the songs are consistently dumb, fun, and rockin' but even their lesser material runs rings over the crap being passed off as garage nowadays.
Under Achievers Please Try Harder – Camera Obscura (2003)
http://www.mediafire.com/?n5ljzezmxtoThe vocals are very beautiful and genuine. Overall, this record has an intimate bewitching beauty that drags you in with each listen. Upon first listen, it seems easy to say that you've heard this before -- but if you take the time to let it sink in, it is obviously not the same band or sound as Belle and Sebastian as so many people compare them to and lump them in with.

Leaving Songs – Stuart A. Staples (2006)
http://www.mediafire.com/?mjvwu2mmzo1Leaving Songs is not a huge stylistic leap forward, but that's not a cause of worry. When you have songs this tight and a sound this rich there is no need to rush and change things. If you love the Tindersticks then you will adore this; let’s face it if this guy sang the alphabet and it would sound fucking great.
Tough Guys Don’t Dance – Soulsavers (2003)
http://www.mediafire.com/?exxmzmmmyy2The debut album from Rich Machin and Ian Glover is a magisterial affair full of haunting, cinematic keyboards and noir ambience along with the presence of Spain’s vocalist Josh Haden.

Black Magic – Magic Sam Blues Band (1968)
http://www.mediafire.com/?g1t3zkojhue#Credited to the Magic Sam Blues Band, 'Black Magic' would feature the great guitarist Sam Maghett’s final recording sessions. Released in 1968 and featuring a band of musical talents like saxophonist Eddie Shaw, pianist Lafayette Leake, and fellow guitarist Mighty Joe Young. Its release was overshadowed by Sam's premature death from a heart attack in December 1969. Only days before, Maghett had agreed to sign with Stax Records label.
His passing robbed the blues genre of a potentially influential figure.
Peel Session 53 – The Rezillos 30.12.77
http://www.mediafire.com/?jdkmllmy4zyRecorded: 12.12.77 Transmitted: 30.12.77
Tracklisting: 1. (My Baby Does) Good Sculptures, 2. No, 3. Fight Amongst Yourselves (It Gets Me), 4. Top Of The Pops.
The first of two sessions band did for the show, although they were also to do two sessions as The Revillos
Although frequently aligned with the punk movement, the Rezillos' (later known as the Revillos) irreverent glam rock image and affection for campy girl-group iconography, set them distinctly apart from their peers.

Sings Jacques Brel – Scott Walker (1981)
http://www.mediafire.com/?enzn0ncwyjlThe combination of the disturbing songs of Jacquel Brel with the unearthly baritone of Scott Walker is magical. OK, so it's not the real thing but Walker is by far the best English-speaking Brel impersonator.
Revival – Gillian Welch (1996)
http://www.mediafire.com/?mtmw2hmmczyThis is an album that every person with ears should own. The pedal steel guitar - the favoured instrument of country music for the past...oh...50 years - is practically absent from the whole album, Welch instead preferring to conjour up appalachian visions with banjo, acoustic guitar and rasping female/male harmonies.
Jesus, alcohol, loneliness, love and death are all here

Post To Wire – Richmond Fontaine (2004)
http://www.mediafire.com/?umidjntjvnmIn comparision to 'Lost Son', which was a collection of punk murder ballads, and 'Winnemucca', a taut country record, whose principal characters included a convict on his last day of parole and the dying victim of a hunting accident, 'Post to Wire' is, as exactly as Vlautin says, both lyrically and in mood a far more optimistic piece. It was also Richmond Fontaine's most versatile record, incorporating together elements ,as well as punk and country, of folk and the blues.
The Essential Fucked Up Blues! – The Immortal Lee County Killers (2001)
http://www.mediafire.com/?q3yzxzy5k1yThis is not an ordinary album - if you like your music raw and guttural, then lend an ear to this. The vocals are muddly, the guitar fuzzy, the drums loud and fast. The whole effect is blues music meets punk music and it works.

Dirt Music – Dirt Music (2008)
Part. 1 - http://www.mediafire.com/?knljqyxvzi2Part. 2 – http://www.mediafire.com/?3nghdyi1tlg
Dirt Music are Chris Eckman vocalist and guitarist (The Walkabouts) Hugo Race (formerly birthday Party and Bad Seeds) and former Come And Codeine member Chris Brokaw. This unique collaboration has brought together three musicians who have a full grasp of the barren dust bowls of America and know exactly how to paint the landscape in musical terms, drawing on folk country/blues.
Musical History – Prince Far I (1983)
http://www.mediafire.com/?1ymw3menn5jPrince Far I's Musical History was released just three months after the great Voice of Thunder had been shot dead in his home in Jamaica One of the top artists of the roots era, Prince Far I's booming, gravelly vocals commanded attention like no other artist. His deliberate, almost talking style of DJing accentuates his vocal power even more. Musical History brings together the best of his latest material, including What You Gonna Do On Judgement Day and I Don't Know Why I Love Jah So

Dressed Up For The Letdown – Richard Swift (2007)
http://www.mediafire.com/?xdlky2yzzw2This gem of an album takes much of what made harry nilsson, tom waits and van dyke parkes so great and gives it a contemporary edge. Short at only around 35 minutes but perfectly formed.
Hungry So Angry – Medium Medium (2001)
Part. 1. - http://www.mediafire.com/?zt5nz2mxdoxPart. 2 - http://www.mediafire.com/?bymdyznzzmm
These 15 songs actually comprise all but a handful of the songs that Medium Medium released during their lifetime, taken from their LP The Glitterhouse and a handful of singles. Hailing from my local city of Nottingham I remember during the late 70’s – early 80’s they were stalwarts of a crap and starved music scene in the city.
The booklet with this cd states; Medium Medium's self-styled "extreme dance music" and "searing Zen funk" merged dance rhythms and staccato guitar with squawking sax and found sounds to create a "free-blown dubbed-up white funk" (NME) that positioned the band "at the forefront of the post punk funk movement" (Cashbox).

West Side Soul – Magic Sam (1967)
http://www.mediafire.com/?zynwzd3wwid"West Side Soul" is true-blue city blues, an absolute must-own for anyone interested in the genre. Magic Sam (nee Samuel Maghett) had a booming soul-singer's voice, with a touch of aggressive blues-style delivery which set him apart from other blues singers.
"Magic Sam had a different guitar sound," said his record producer, Willie Dixon. "Most of the guys were playing the straight 12-bar blues thing, but the harmonies that he carried with the chords was a different thing altogether.
Getaway – The Clean (2001)
http://www.mediafire.com/?nmoytj0j2jbThe Clean were one of the most influential New Zealand bands of the post-punk era. While nothing on Getaway matches the power of early Clean classics like "Tally Ho!" or "Point That Thing Somewhere Else", the latter-day Clean are still amazingly good. If you have never listened to or even heard of The Clean then listen to this and then explore their back catalogue. They may not be prolific but in their case quality is more important than quantity.

A Cork Tale Wake – Chris Bathgate (2007)
http://www.mediafire.com/?zcnjxzjmlnuThe album is instantly likeable from the piano driven first track, “Serpentine”, and it doesn’t let go after that. The rest of the songs follow in much of the same suit; stripped down with liberal amounts of acoustic guitar, piano, strings, and even a little horn work here and there. And while the instrumentation is great, its main purpose is to compliment Bathgate’s voice. Songs like “Cold Fusion” and “Restless” are good until the vocals are added to the mix… suddenly they’re amazing.
Peel Session 52 – The Jam 2.05.77

The Facts Of Life – Black Box Recorder (2000)
http://www.mediafire.com/?mhme5xdyg4tThe Facts Of Life is a good album which will seem better the more you listen to it. Some of the songs will grab you right away whilst others will take a little time to you hooked. Lead singer, Sarah Nixey's voice sounds almost like a submissive siren, as she faintly sings anthems about teenage sexuality and desire. Luke Haines and John Moore push their music writing even further, keeping the low tones of instruments and mixing in small beats and rythmns that add a certain liveliness to their melodies.

Anodyne – Uncle Tupelo (1993)
http://www.mediafire.com/?zymgdmmnhmnWhether you're a fan of country, rock, or alternative, you will love this album. They incorporate country, folk, blues, rock, punk into one of the great demonstrations of purely American music. Anodyne was Uncle Tupelo's major label debut and also their swan song, but what a parting gift.
Soledad Brothers – Soledad Brothers (2000)
Part. 1 - http://www.mediafire.com/?qgjvzvvhzyyPart. 2 - http://www.mediafire.com/?m2iljfhomeh
For those who have asked for more Soledad Brothers.
I think I have posted everything I've got now. Think some of the links for earlier posts are dead so if want them re-upping....
This is no-nonsense, raw, dirty garage blues. And what's more important is that it is what Rock N' Roll should be about: Having a good time.
Steal Your Soul and Dare Your Spirit To Move - Soledad Brothers (2002)
http://www.mediafire.com/?55itjndmjyyThis; the second record of the Soledad Brothers was a lot more experimental than their previous release. This record demonstrates a mellower side of the band as well as songs which are not entirely bluesy.

Rock ‘n’ Soul – Solomon Burke (1964)
http://www.mediafire.com/?mwjzozymcyzNot only is Rock 'N Soul one of the most important albums in the Solomon Burke legacy, it's one of the best sounding ones. None of the 11 tracks (5 of them were massive hits that kept Atlantic Records - a much smaller label back then - alive at that time) is even remotely weak. Rock 'N Soul does a remarkable job capturing everything that made Solomon what he was, and what he still is.
El Corazon – Steve Earle (1997)
http://www.mediafire.com/?lyngj2zzl2wSteve Earle is an amazing artist with at least half a dozen five-star releases to his name. I can’t believe it has taken me so long to post one of his albums. Earle is right up there as one of America’s best songwriters. There's no filler on this album. This is the perfect blend of rock, country, and folk.

Death In The Arena – Clint Eastwood (1978)
http://www.mediafire.com/?wrwvgwzgmztOne of the all time great DJ LPs with ferocious production from the Channel One team. Robert Brammer, better known as Clint Eastwood, came to prominence in the late 70s, especially in the UK. Sly and Robbie show why they are called the rhythm twins: supertight Drum and Bass Lines. Clint Eastwood has his own style of toasting. It is influenced by his elder brother Trinity, but definitely he's got his own.
Didn’t It Rain – Songs:Ohia (2001)
http://www.mediafire.com/?0yxn0zyzzltPure quality from the hands of Jason Molina….as usual
With the word "blue" appearing in four out of the seven song titles, you get a general idea of Jason Molina's mood as he recorded this sixth proper LP under the Songs:Ohia name.

The Hardest Walk – Soledad Brothers (2006)
Part. 1 - http://www.mediafire.com/?unogm2ffohyPart. 2 - http://www.mediafire.com/?4k4fxwgj3yn
The Hardest Walk marks somewhat of a progression from the raw, vicious garage blues of the Soledad Brothers early days. It still sounds supercharged though, with opening tracks Truth Or Consequence and Downtown Paranoia Blues forming an almighty double whammy to introduce the album. On first listen, it's likely that some of this record's subtleties will pass you by, and there's a danger it may be dismissed as 'just another garage blues' record. Yet it impresses deeper with every listen - for instance Mean Ol' Toledo, which sounds a bit too retro at first, slowly reveals itself as a brilliantly menacing Delta Blues swamp.
Beauty and the Beat ! – Peggy Lee/George Shearing (2003)
http://www.mediafire.com/?dn52mmzxtnlThis album was originally released with overdubbed applause and was issued as recorded at the 1959 Miami Disc Jockey’s Convention. Lee and Shearing did play at the convention, but this recording was made in the studio. In 2003 Capitol/Blue Note reissued the album with the fake applause and announcements removed, resulting in a finely nuanced album that is one of the high points of Lee’s recording career. Lee and Shearing's only collaboration on record -- though both would occasionally perform together thereafter -- is a supremely chilled session of late-night blues from two masters of the form.

A Toast To Those Who Are Gone – Phil Ochs (1986)
http://www.mediafire.com/?rrmnrg2mjotA Toast To Those Who Are Gone is a marvellous collection of Ochs' demos from sessions in 1963/4 and 1965/6. A superior singer/songwriter blah blah blah…….

The 2nd of May – May Blitz (1971)
http://www.mediafire.com/?mtjmttzywtm'The 2nd Of May' was recorded in 1971. Unfortunately despite being an excellent album full of heavy original numbers the album flopped. The band were dropped by Vertigo shortly after. Their riffs too heavy for lightweights, their journey from blues rock having taken them closer to Sabbath, but with the kind of incendiary riffing that would return decades later with the likes of Danzig. The subject matter of their lyrics were obtuse and titles – Honey Coloured Time and 8 Mad Grim Nits – were suitably out there. Poems are delivered and wild guitar jams ensue on this real oddity.
Vital Dub Strictly Rockers – The Revolutionaries (1976)
http://www.mediafire.com/?3avmjogfdme"Vital Dub Strictly Rockers" is actually the Dub version of the Mighty Diamonds classic album "The Right Time" with one missing track, but this set is actually a Revolutionaries one. They were the Channel One Studio house band. The main core of The Revolutionaries was formed by Sly Dunbar (bass); Robbie Shakespeare (drums) plus Ansel Collins, Errrol "Tarzan" Nelson and Ossie Hibbert (keyboards). The dub album that more than any other established Sly & Robbie's names; and showed why no-one else at the time was touching the Channel One 'rockers' sound.

Nice ‘N’ Easy – Frank Sinatra (1960)
http://www.mediafire.com/?mdjjudy2ywmOn Nice 'N' Easy, Frank Sinatra selected a collection of songs he sung early in his career and it's a classic mix of breezy mid-tempo numbers and beautiful ballads. Conducted and arranged by Nelson Riddle, Nice 'n Easy contains twelve pieces of pure perfection including definitive versions of "That Old Feeling," "How Deep is the Ocean," "I've Got a Crush On You," "Try a Little Tenderness," "Embraceable You" and "Dream." This album rolls along steadily from the first tune to the last.
The Coroner’s Gambit – The Mountain Goats (2000)
http://www.mediafire.com/?nzootzityytDelivering old time folk with the same airy recording quality and timelessness to it, The Mountain Goats' The Coroner's Gambit is an amazingly well-composed collection of acoustic guitar, warm vocals, and well-written lyrics, flushed out with very little instrumentation to retain its heritage.

Peel Session 51 – X Ray Spex 6.03.78
http://www.mediafire.com/?jrtmzotczomRecorded: 20.02.78 Transmitted: 6.03.78
Tracklisting: 1. Genetic Engineering , 2. Artificial , 3. I Am A Poser , 4. Identity
The first of 2 Peel sessions that the band did.
X-Ray Spex were a wonderful, shambling, musical mess of rebellion, fashion and fun. Main muse Poly Styrene danced, yelped, screamed and sang over the joyful noise belted out by her punchy buzzsaw’n’biscuit-tin band while fighting off Laura Logic’s sax honks from stage left – all with a smile of pure glee. War Elephant – Deer Tick (2007)
Part. 1- http://www.mediafire.com/?d0jyjqmytotPart. 2 - http://www.mediafire.com/?nny42myz15m
Despite bearing the gruff nicotine rasp of a 48-year-old blues growler, Deer Tick mainman John McCauley was just 19 years old when he recorded War Elephant. Over the course of fourteen songs, War Elephant provides an eclectic mix of acoustic guitars, classic rock crunch, and twangy steel, making it an excellent listening experience for the roots-rock enthusiast, or just about anyone else who enjoys emotionally-charged music with melodic charms.

The Fitzgerald – Richmond Fontaine (2005)
http://www.mediafire.com/?3ykyzmnmwxyThe Fitzgerald is a collection of haunting yet beautiful songs that portray life at some of it's lowest and bleakest moments. The musicians do such a wonderful job of offsetting Willy Vlautin's vocals. It mightn't contain the fireworks that Post To Wire (to be posted soon) did, but as far as storytelling and late-night listening goes, The Fitzgerald excels.
Sonny Boy Williamson & The Yardbirds (1966)
http://www.mediafire.com/?wynjnmwzyy4A set of live tracks recorded at the Crawdaddy Club in London in ‘63. If you want to discover some raw blues with no thrills as it happened, this will get right in your face and deliver.

Humblin’ (Across America) – The Orange Humble Band (2001)
Part. 1 - http://www.mediafire.com/?jnggoigwz2yPart. 2 - http://www.mediafire.com/?khgctzndoq1
The core line-up of the band, principal songwriter Darryl Mather (ex-Lime Spiders and Someloves), fellow Australian Anthony Bautovich (Coronet Blue), Mitch Easter (ex-Let’s Active and renowned producer of, amongst others, Pavement and early REM) and finally Ken Stringfellow (Posies and a bewildering number of other frequently simultaneously active projects) survives intact from their debut album. Featuring, as on Assorted Creams, a blend of power pop, rock and country, Humblin’ (Across America) has the added ingredient this time of more than a little southern soul - several tracks, What’s Your Crime and the single Any Way You Want It amongst them, wonderfully enhanced by bold brass arrangements. Ken Stringfellow handles all vocals throughout and has, quite simply, never sounded better than he does here, exuding emotion with strength, depth and clarity Featuring stunning arrangements, wonderful chord changes, to-die-for tunes, ringing guitars (Mitch Easter in fine form), fluid pedal steel lines and a horn section to boot, this album really has the lot.

There’s No Home – Jana Hunter (2007)
http://www.mediafire.com/?352zv1xzzjiJana Hunter's simple folk songs have a wonderfully expansive, quietly droney quality despite being so raw and intimate. There’s No Home, comes across as less a melancholy resignation and more an affirmation of the possibilities of the whole wide world. As extroverted as Hunter's previous release Blank Unstaring Heirs of Doom was introverted, There's No Home focuses on community involvement. While Hunter plays most of the instruments herself, she's aided and abetted here by her brother John , John Adams and Matt Brownlie among others.
These Friends Of Mine – Rosie Thomas (2007)
http://www.mediafire.com/?j2jzvohmyjeThis is an intimate set of songs that should serve to compensate for all the soul that is lacking in mainstream music.
When you have musicians like Sufjan Stevens, David Bazan, Damien Jurado, and Denison Witmer all appearing on one album together, the results should be downright gorgeous. And they are. These songs are chock full memorable vocal lines, and beautiful vocal harmonies. May be a bit too sweet for everybody’s tastes but Rosie Thomas has a voice I would crawl over hot coals to listen to.

Pussy Whipped – Bikini Kill (1993)
http://www.mediafire.com/?dgmqh13jjmkPussy Whipped is a good album. One of the best of the riot-grrrl scene. The sonic assault is awesome and evokes hardcore, the tunes catchy as hell and the lyrics sharp and fun (though sometimes a little difficult to hear). Kathleen Hannah's voice can both screech and sing, and it all sounds great.
Humanity – The Royal Rasses ft Prince Lincoln Thompson (1979)
http://www.mediafire.com/?jc0mmnjryyiHumanity is one of the best roots albums to have come out of the late seventies and early eighties.Prince Lincoln's falsetto voice drifts between a heavy roots style and touches of gospel. Each of the 7 tracks is an absolute winner.

Baader Meinhof – Baader Meinhof (1996)
http://www.mediafire.com/?4dqm2ydwmllLike a cross between a snotty, Etonian punk & the hardest of early 70's harlem ghetto dudes. Not many people write songs about terrorists. Even less name their bands after them. 10 tracks (only 30 or so minutes long..) ruminating on terrorism set to a funky 70's style backing. If you have never listened to any Luke Haines stuff then give an ear to this. Then go and investigate the rest of his work; you won’t be disappointed.
Nenette et Boni – Tindersticks (1996)
http://www.mediafire.com/?zzvgvyemtymNenette et Boni - The first soundtrack the band did with Claire Denis. An exquisitely beautiful, if melancholy, set of tracks. The album mostly lacks the bizarrely beautiful croon of Stuart Staples (present only on the gorgeous "Petites Gouttes d'Eau"), and so some of their usual somber romanticism is inevitably lost. The album needs to be listened to as a whole as with soundtrack music some of the tracks are not fully fledged songs, but it is still a gorgeous piece of work.
